According to numbers reported by the Texas Department of Health, abortion at Planned Parenthood is now the leading cause of death in Harris County, ending more lives than heart disease, cancer, accidents, and AIDS combined. Annual deaths due to cause: Heart disease- 1240, cancer- 679, diabetes - 96, accidents- 117, homicide- 28, abortion at Planned Parenthood (3601 Fannin) - approximately 6000.
According to their website, Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas aborts 6,500 children and, and distributes 4649 morning-after abortion pills in a typical year.
The Bryan Planned Parenthood abortion clinic has repeatedly misled people by stating that abortion is only "six percent" of what they do, even though the organization's latest annual report demonstrates that abortion last year accounted for over 23% of their local income.
According to the website of Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas, the organization performs three times as many abortions as breast cancer screenings and cervical cancer screenings combined.
In 2002, Planned Parenthood held their annual fundraiser entitled "Celebrating Roe v. Wade" at the College Station Hilton featuring Sarah Weddington, the attorney who argued the Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in all 50 states.
Planned Parenthood's latest annual report shows that last year the organization performed 79 abortions for every one adoption referral, demonstrating that they don't promote "choice" to women, just abortion.
Planned Parenthood is the leading abortion provider in America, terminating 197,070 children last year alone. Since the Roe v. Wade decision, Planned Parenthood has aborted over 3 million babies.
Even the organization's leaders recognize the true nature of what abortion is. Faye Wattleton, former Planned Parenthood President, said in a Ms. magazine article: "I think we have deluded ourselves into believing that people don't know that abortion is killing. So any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills..."
