Goliath Has Not Fallen

Since Roe was overturned in 2022 and Texas law made abortion illegal at every stage, visits to our Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers have increased by 50%. And we have not slowed down. We had 1,515 visits just in the first quarter of the year – which is more than a third of all the visits we had last year. Do not misunderstand — as a pro-life movement, we have much to celebrate. Overturning Roe was an incredible turning point in our culture, turning the issue over to the states. However, as wonderful as our Texas law is at protecting babies in the womb, many states — including ones that neighbor Texas — allow abortions through all 9 months. It is reported that 98% of clients at a New Mexico abortion facility are from Texas.

For 50 years, while Roe was the law of the land, society created a culture that has told women they should prioritize a career over their families, that women can be a part of hookup culture with no consequences, and that a child would destroy her dreams. In fact, many women who are in these crisis situations are still seeking abortion either out of state or ordering the abortion pill online, which tragically is too easy to do. However, we welcome them to come to our Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers because when they see their babies via the free ultrasound, 93% choose life.

The theme for our recent 2024 Annual Benefit Dinner was Goliath Has Not Fallen. We chose that very specifically not to discount the amazing work done by the Texas legislature and all those who worked so hard to ensure babies are protected in Texas, but to make a point. As long as the largest Planned Parenthood in the Western Hemisphere stands right here in Houston, our children will never be safe from their nefarious agenda that exists to dismantle our God-given nature in every way, shape, and form.

Based on Planned Parenthood's recent annual report:

- 392,715 babies were aborted, which is a 5% increase over the year before

- They received $700 million in taxpayer funding in one year, which is a 4% increase over the year before.

At our Annual Benefit Dinner, we debuted the video, Goliath Has Not Fallen, which shows all the Goliaths the pro-life movement faces including the media, pro-abortion politicians, Planned Parenthood's unwholesome education for children, among many others. We know who ultimately triumphs over Goliath. While the pro-life movement has had so many tremendous victories, we hope you will continue to stand and pray with us so we can point women to life-affirming options for their sweet, innocent preborn children.
